What is Laser Teeth Whitening?

This is a different type of teeth whitening treatment process which is called as power whitening. In this treatment process a bleaching product is painted onto your teeth followed by a laser to make teeth whiten. Laser teeth whitening  takes about an hour. It’s fast, effective, and increasingly popular way of whitening teeth in London.

Benefits of laser whitening treatment

  • Fast results – takes just one hour
  • Great option for anyone with a busy lifestyle
  • Usually no anesthesia required
  • Non-invasive and painless procedure
  • Whitens teeth up to seven to ten shades lighter

What happens during the treatment?

Your dentist begins your treatment by cleaning your mouth and placing a special hydrogen peroxide whitening gel onto your teeth – your gums, lips, and mouth will be protected by a rubber dam at all times. You will also be given protective eyewear to protect your eyes from the laser. Your dentist then shines a laser light on the teeth to activate the whitening properties of the gel. Once the treatment is complete, the gel is washed off your teeth and your mouth will be rinsed. Your appointment should take no longer than one hour in total and you will notice instant results.

Laser Teeth Whitening Aftercare

Avoiding food and drink that stains your teeth is vital to the success of your whitening treatment. Laser whitening opens the pores on your enamel and temporarily removes the pellicle (a protective film) from your teeth. Your teeth will therefore be more prone to staining than usual for about two days afterwards. During this time, it’s best to avoid taking in anything that can stain teeth, including lipstick, coffee, tea and fruit juice.

How long do the results last?

The longevity of your new white smile depends on a good dental care routine. Overall, the effects of laser whitening should last for around six months to one year with correct care. Help your smile stay bright for as long as possible by following these simple tips:

  • Brush your teeth with a whitening toothpaste
  • Avoid darkly pigmented drinks (including, coffee, tea and red wine)
  • Visit your dentist for regular follow-up treatments

How much does it cost?

Due to the quick treatment time and instant results, laser whitening tends to be more expensive than other whitening options. Although prices vary depending on your dentist and the level of discolouration of your teeth, you can expect to pay around £500 to £800 per laser treatment.  However, we are offering this instant teeth whitening treatment only at £199 for a limited time.
