Teeth Whitening Gel

Do you have dull, stained, or discoloured teeth? Teeth whitening gel is a popular home whitening treatment that can brighten your smile. It’s effective, quick and easy to use, and budget-friendly. If you’re looking to whiten your teeth in a way that fits in with your lifestyle, whitening gel may be the perfect treatment for you.

What is teeth whitening gel?

Whitening gel is an effective whitening agent made from hydrogen peroxide or carbamide peroxide. It’s simply applied to the front surface of the teeth, usually with the help of a brush or a mouth tray. Your London Teeth Whitening Clinic dentist can do the treatment in-office, and/or provide you with a custom-made mouth tray and whitening gel so you can carry out the treatment yourself at home.

Advantages of whitening gel

  • A simple way of whitening teeth
  • Effective and predictive results
  • Custom-made mouth trays for precision
  • Safe with minimal side effects
  • Easy to see when your desired shade has been reached

How does it work?

Once the gel is applied the teeth, the peroxide gel breaks down into molecules called free radicals. These molecules in turn break down stains in the tooth enamel.

When will I see results?

Treatment times differ for each different brand of whitening gel depending on the concentration of peroxide used. A typical treatment may be used twice daily for two weeks, and results may be noticeable after only a few days.

A whitening gel dispensed by London Teeth Whitening Clinic will contain a higher concentration of peroxide than an over-the-counter gel. One of our professional treatments will therefore provide quicker and longer lasting results than store-bought gels.
